This is a workshop organized by Videotage, aiming to share with artists and creative professionals about creating a mobile app with easy-to-learn tool.
Originally, it was Annie Wan, a new media artist who have been creating mobile art work in the past years, to be teaching. However, she became unavailable for the weekends, so I am helping her to give the workshop now.
I am always using Objective-C to create mobile app on the iOS platform. I often like to go deep and enjoy understanding every perspectives when making something.
However, when you are doing creative coding, you want something simple and quick, to do prototyping of a concept in our mind.
Processing is a very successful programming tool which allow us to focus on “what to do”, rather than “how to do”.
There are now a few mobile alternatives of Processing around, but none of them can fully utilize the device’s power yet.
After all, I am dreaming to have a graphical programming app, like Max MSP, which I can do coding by making blocks and connecting lines. That would be awesome.
